Saw this post on fb, sure a few of you did as well. wasn't even there, but shaking my head in agreement the whole time. Just baffling how the fans see one thing clear as day, but some producers, or scene leaders, seem to think they know more than the crowd.

" Bit of a long one about WF but now I'm awake and fresh from a great laugh over the weekend! Ive gotta say and also be honest here:

Even tho I loved the minus the crown set on the main stage (not being biased because I was on it) I thought it was banging, great tracks from joey and Paul with the style of genre they was repping and also mixed the hardcore at the end! The Main stage is always a great arena to play on! So that aside!

The night wasnt all that!
(UK hardcore side of it)

Is it me or are all the CORE DJs going OTT with this slow hardstyle twist to the sets ! I get it, and I'm making it with producers myself, but the arena is "HARDCORE HEAVEN" i must of heard 3 sets of hardcore and that's it out of 10 sets.

must of had countless ravers coming up to me asking me wtf has happend lol.

Best sets for me I heard was

#1 klubfiller Steven Brett the guy plays absolute bangers brand new sounds and keeps it new but has that hardcore feel to it! You could tell the dancefloor was just gagging for a decent set of core.

Alex Henderson prospect as well played hard and bouncy and threw it all in there he also smashed it with the odd oitside the box bits but again IT WAS HARDCORE and I want to do a few of his sets 100% from now on.

Gaz Powell and Darwin as well played an amazing set of new stuff but still to the soul of what the arena is called but also playing new bits and keeping it fresh!

Tbh Fallon had a great opening set of classics and his style as well. But it was the first set so not including it in my 3 for the night as a whole.

I never saw Scot brown as was on in the other arena so cant comment on that.

My point is, you can play and make wtf you want but there comes a point when you ain't even the artist in a scene that you are saying you are in?! What's the point of taking the place of some of these new great djs/producers repping and pushing the UK hardcore scene THEY should be in that arena!

I mean Al storm Alex Taylor not being on that hardcore stage is a a massive loss aswell.

Now this isnt me saying dont put hardstyle and slow bits mixing it up in your set at all! I think it works and it goes off!

But a whole night of it?! A whole set of it?! In a hardcore arena?! Is going down the same route IN THE UK as what dubcore did imo.

Internationally it works and they love it but I think some of these djs forget that it ain't america or Australia or at a festival! It's a uk rave over here! So tone it down a bit at least, coz what I saw on that dancefloor on those sets was alot of bored ravers and a dramatic drop of atmosphere! Compared to sets like the ones I mentioned above! Its a night and day difference.

Like I said, before any of these facebook band wagon jumpers take this status the wrong way and run off crying! I'm not saying the new sound and hardstyle flavour isnt amazing OR the way its heading eventually OR isnt massive overseas! Because I do like it and I've
spoke to Jack Newman about being bang on board with it all myself and we had a massive talk about the way things are changing.

All I'm saying is reign it in a little bit when you got thousands of ravers wanting to hear what they came for over here!

But again for me, Klubfiller is killing it with what hes doing and I see a far better response to that and his sets then anything else lastnight! (Main room sets aside)

For me I've been a resident for slammin since 2007 been on em all, and had nothing ever bad to say about one of there events! but I think grant and the lads should all try to re work that hardcore arena next year OR make a new arena up! Coz that was my worst westfest yet and you have all heard me say it's my fav event of the year!

Anyway that's my 2 pence worth as an artist in the scene and a hardcore fan for nearly 20 years, it's just my opinion and what "I see"

Hope everyone that did have a good time tho doesnt take this as I'm against them or what they love, it's more of a full aspect of what the arena is and was about!

Maybe it's time for that divide and split to happen and for positive reasons tho this time rather then a negative split, like a good understanding breakup 🤣

Have a good day peeps hope you all ain't too hanging 😉👊 "

uk hardcore is just dead, and nobody cares about it, every year since 2010, there is normally more hardstyle events listed on https://www.skiddle.com/whats-on/popular-events.php?g=18 then the 10 uk hardcore events

while hardstyle events don't care for uk hardcore, they have hardcore which will be called hardcore instead of gabba, and they don't care for crappy uptempo

i have said it all on here a million times

Get out of this forum. If you hate UK hardcore, why are you even here?

Mods, this guy is an obvious troll and has been for years. Surely you have more than enough grounds by now to ban him.

without me all 10 of you would just be stuck in a time zone, having the same 10 conversations over and over and over again, year in year out

know a few track names, know about nothing that has happened in the clubs in the past 10 years
