Back in about 95 I had a copy of a tape from a mate of mine. The tune in question was probably the first on either side A or side B. It started off with a single note and went in the form:
daa da da daa da da daa da da daa
No beat, nothing else. It repeated and got faster and faster for about a minute and there was a brief stop and then everything kicked in. Heavy fast beat with the riff continuing in the background. I can hear the tune in my head. It's one of the few I have never been able to track down. Probably from the very early 90s. Could be from Helter Skelter, Fantazia, or Dreamscape tape packs. I just don't know. That whole riff started slow, and repeated and sped up. The mate who gave me the tape, I was chatting to and I happened to ask him if he remembered. He said he recognised it but needed to have a think but sadly the next day he had a serious seizure and died. So, I have been stuck with this tune in my head as an earworm for many years and the only person I know that knew it is dead. Can any of you guys help?

Think that track is on The DJ Clarkee mix from Dreamscape 20, maybe the tape pack that you heard it on?!
He also played a great Blu Peter track sped up called magic, was one of my fav mixes from around that time!
