I used to have a Logitech X-540 system... it was very good - if you ask me - for a consumer system; 5.1 (I had it in 3.1 configuration though), audio quality was good, bang for the buck as well. Not to mention it had a little control console, etc. Here's their official page on it.

I've since switched over to two Genelec 8020A monitors (no sub, as these things already have insane bass response) coupled with a Mackie 1202-VLZ pro mixer now that I'm getting into production more, if you were wondering.
