It's a tough question as it's such a subjective thing. But 2 good films i've seen lately are: The Hurt Locker and Moon.

I Love You Man was a flipin' great movie imo
District 9 if you haven't already seen it
Australia was pretty good too
Stark Trek was awesome

all very mainstream but good, I struggle to remember movies for longer than a few months

haven't seen hurt locker yet, but I heard it's really good

how about older ones? and what type specifically? Comedy, Action, Drama, Animation?
whats some stuff you like? need to get an idea of your tastes

This.

You will have to be a bit more specific, otherwise i'll suggest some good romcom's.

I want some help with this!
Just got netflix and need movies to watch!

Give me some fast paced movies uhh like (Crank, District 9 ect)
Racing, zombies, si-fi, war, horror.. things like that

Good movies:
The hurt locker
Black sheep (zombie sheep :3 )
Lt den rtte komma in (what twilight should have been)
Dd sn (nazi zombies!)
Crank 1&2
Zombie land
Gabriel
Pandorum
The Tournament
Avatar (gota admit it was good)
Law Abiding Citizen
28 days&weeks later
Terminator salvation

Theres some good ones from the past few years, mostly action and killing :D

(if you couldnt tell, i <3 zombies)

I have more, might add some later

Edit: damn it! My swedish got messed up....

Lat den ratte komma in = let the right one in
Dod sno = Dead snow

Now they sound different :/

For swedish movies, i liked the Arn movies a lot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-skCJD9MUg

For Zombie movies, youre missing Romero's movies:
Night of the Living Dead
Dawn of the Dead (the 2004 remake is really good too)
Day of the Dead (the 2008 remake is really good too, Mena Suvari <3)
Land of the Dead
Diary of the Dead

Action, i'm really liking Stathams movies ATM, hes like the new Bruce Willis:
Transporter 1-3
Death Race
...and Crank you've already seen.
Chocolate was a good movie too, its about an autistic girl who beats everyone up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Axf_EXzF_qM Amazing fight scenes.

For Scifi, apart from the big hollywood movies (and District 9), i havent seen many good ones lately, but Outlander was good: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewBIp8uv58I

For war movies, i mostly watch finnish ones. But if youre intrested, some good ones:
Lupaus (Promise), about the Lotta Svard, Finnish voluntary auxiliary paramilitary organisation for women.

Tali-Ihantala, its about the largest battle in history of the Nordic countries. It doesnt really have a proper plot, main cast or anything like that. It was made as historically accurate as possible, so its more like an reenactment. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9IEQYlpFlQ

Tuntematon Sotilas (Unknown Soldier) its broadcasted here on TV at every Independence day, theres also a remake from 1985.
