DOUGAL, SUPREME, UFO, MARLEY & STORM CONFIRMED FOR ELECTRIKS RETURN TO LOUISIANAS IN APRIL FOR LUV HARDCORE

Electrik Events Present Luv Hardcore
Louisianas (Part of Oceana), Leisureworld, Southampton Friday 9th April 2010

The boys are back in town this April! Following on from a successful re-launch in a new venue (the spacious Louisianas, part of Southamptons luxurious Oceana clubbing complex owned by Luminar Leisure); which received much critical praise and thoroughly positive feedback from its raving clientele in January Electrik Events are proud to announce a follow up date, returning to the venue on Friday the 9th April for Electrik Events Present Luv Hardcore. Featuring this time a fully loaded line-up of UK hardcore stars including headliners, scene legends and pioneers Dougal, Supreme, UFO and MC Storm, the late night UK hardcore event will also have performances from Geos Crew, Scandal, DJ MOB, Solution, The Chunky Boys, Prospect and Spyro; as well as MCs Marley, Knight, Macca, Mayhem, Sykee and Oggy all set against a back drop of one of the South Coasts finest venues with superb lighting and sound and an unbeatable atmosphere.

The initial re-launch event which took place in January was a storming success, with the loyal Electrik faithful coming out in their droves to support the new venue and day shift (the event normally is held on Bank Holiday weekends). The evident excellent atmosphere and positive feedback post event was more than enough to set Promoters Marley & Scandals wheels straight into motion on a sequel at this particular venue, this time presenting Luv Hardcore as their new themed brand. The new venue is huge, the stage set up is amazing and gives the artists a real platform to showcase their skills says Marley of the previous event. There are three main reasons for putting on these events. One is Ravers Happy, give the loyal, amazing South Coast ravers a night to remember. Two Artists Happy, give the wicked up and coming and established local artists another chance to play on a big system to a brilliant crowd and three Electrik Happy, give our record label artists Geos Crew, Marley, GSDX, Scandal, Clodhopper, Bishop, Flyin, Sparky & Charm another chance to play or hear their Electrik Euphoria tunes bashing out of the killer sound system. This is why Rich and I keep on doing what we do adds Scandal.

For this event, taking place on Friday 9th April and returning once again to Louisianas, no less than eighteen exceptionally talented UK hardcore DJs and MCs have been hired to rock and rage the main stage.

Headliner Dougal, has been a very important part of the rave scenes makings since as early as 1991, part of the initial first movement resulting in the explosion of happy hardcore in its hey day, Dougal has been responsible not only for some sensational performances upon main stage arenas Worldwide for the biggest names in the genre inclusive of Slammin Vinyl, Hardcore Heaven, Fusion, Dreamscape, Helter Skelter, Hardcore Till I Die and Uproar et all but also has won countless awards for his contribution to hardcore music in his past near two decade career. He is the Proprietor of Essential Platinum, one of UK hardcores biggest release platforms for both vinyl and digital download and has numerous contributions to singles, remixes and best selling compilation albums that have charted in top positions industry wide including HTID: The Album, Hardcore Heaven, Clubland X-Treme Hardcore, True Hardcore and Ministry Of Sounds Hardcore Euphoria.

In equal measure, writer, producer, promoter and DJ Supreme also has had an extensive and intricate career in hardcore music. Spanning twenty years in itself, Supreme has had the honour of being one part of the creation of now blockbusting event brand Fusion on the South Coast, was responsible amongst other partners for Fusion Records, RSR Recordings and Hectic back in the day releasing material with fellow pioneers Sunset Regime, Ramos and Hixxy and now is the driving force with fellow producer and engineer UFO behind THC Records. His releases and remixes on vinyl, CD and download over the years on a number of labels has been extensive with more recent success coming from inclusions on such compilations as Clubland X-Treme Hardcore and True Hardcore 1 & 2 and regular DJ'ing performances at events such as Fusion, Ravers Reunited, Ravers Are:, HTID, Hardcore Heaven, Raverbaby and many others.

Joining him, another hero amongst South Coast revellers and one other to be added to the list of those that contributed to the development of the early rave scenes sound UFO. Like Supreme, UFO started out early, although his focus was more on musical production and therefore resulting in a number of hardcore musics most prominent anthems even still to this day, as his work continues with the continued upbringing of his label Ufology and his ongoing work with Supreme both at the mixing desk in the studio and on stage as they continue to push new music forward on the THC label. UFOs discography is one of the most detailed in hardcores history and is matched by his experience globally, rocking a main stage wherever he lands whether it be Australia, America, New Zealand, Japan, Spain, Germany or at home for every major rave brand the scene has ever had the goodness to present, sure enough UFOs covered it and with a stage presence and style of his own to boot.

Aprils event will also carry the full support of headlining MC Storm, commented by many as one of the very best, if not the best in the scene today Storms hard hitting and often controversial lyrics are a massive hit with hardcore fans Worldwide. Having been a part of UK hardcore also since the very early days of the rave movement, Storm has single handedly worked his way to the top of his game through a passion for hardcore music, a devotion to the scene and its followers and an energetic, all out, high energy stage presence that connects the DJ to his or her dance floor with the maximum of gusto; as does Electrik co-promoter MC Marley who also, has been keeping on top of crowd control with catchy, memorable and inspirational lyrics since 1991; Marley too will be aiding in headlining MC duties.

The event is fully supported by a number of talented and highly sought after individuals inclusive of the already aforementioned international stars. DJs now added to the line-up for this night include Marley in his DJ guise with breakthrough talent and co-producer Robbo taking to the stage as Electrik Euphorias the Geos Crew, whilst the co-founder in all things Electrik Scandal also provides a performance, as does smash through talent recently responsible for a part in SE1s new Unleashed album series Fusion resident, Krafty Radio star and THC signee DJ MOB. Freeform hero and Nu Energy Collective collaborator Solution also joins the line-up as do Fusion promoters the Chunky Boys and a new breed back to back from welcome new faces Prospect and Spyro.

Supporting Storm & Marley upon the microphone in rinsing rhymes and providing that all important crowd control are some of hardcores very best contributors including Fusion resident and established rhyming King Knight, Strictly For The Purist star Macca, the widely supported MC Mayhem and two of the South Coasts favourites Sykee and Oggy.
