Trance is Trance at the end of the day. It's done to perfection, euphoric arps, that sound we all know and love.

It's like saying to 70's Disco sound, "create new ideas and look forward". In over 40 years it's still known to have that distinctive bassline and sound.

UK Hardcore, well the Euphoric trance days, is what it is. How can new ideas be put down without changing the sound and style?

Should people just say "Well those were the good days, gone now, ah well" that's the end of that. Or hear/produce shit they really dont like.

Change is a funny one..

Dutch Hardcore / Gabber has hardly changed a jot in almost 2 decades...yet still packed out arenas.

He said don't revive Bonkers, create new ideas.

I didn't see anything about what the music should sound like.

Aye, at least for certain sub genres of it.

I wasn't saying it was a bad thing at all, quite the opposite. Change enough that your core audience **** off, and fail to invite anybody new into it and you bugger yourself.

A new Bonkers would probably revive the scene like it did in 2000.
I would make it a lot more than 4 djs to gain interest and keep everyone happy.

7 disc set and call it Bonkers United with a combined effort from all promoters and djs being involved. Can you imagine the amount of people that would be back in their studios producing Hardcore again for the mixes.
Would be like an injection into the HARDCORE ECONOMY.
Maybe it could be done by a go fund me page through Slammin Vinyl & Hardcore Underground and any other promoters that want to be involved.

1) IYF & Nobody vs Vinylgroover & Force
2) Gammer, Macks Wolf & Alex Prospect vs Breeze & Unknown
3) Brisk & Ham vs Joey Riot & Kurt
4) Slipmatt & Seduction vs Ramos & Supreme
5) Scott Brown & Bass Generator vs Marc Smith & Technotrance
6) Hixxy, Dougal & Recon vs Styles & Stonebank
7) Fracus & Darwin vs Storm & Euphony

That's pretty much exactly what I said in 2013 😂

(admittedly, I pitched 4 CDs but all as b2bs)

Everyone waited in case another Clubland Xtreme happened, instead. It didn't.

Which is just another confirmation of all that's wrong with this 'scene'.

A new Bonkers would probably sell loads on the name (particularly if some of the same, tired old dinosaurs were attached to it), rather than the music.

Yeah the name and having loads of djs from the past present involved would make the promotion of it absolutely massive.
It would double the market interest of normal Hardcore releases.

That would be great, but ?unlikely? would be a very generous way of describing it on so many levels. Muck like the whole idea of reviving bonkers in the foreseeable future.

Out of curiosity as Ive never understood, but what does vs (versus) mean in the context of a back to back dj mix?

Short answer - absolutely nothing!
Just makes doing exactly the same thing sound like a competition.

Is actually an old concept versing.

What you would have is two sets of dj decks with a mixer on each set, both connected to the one sound system.

For example you have Joey Riot & Kurt on one set of decks while Gammer & Alex Prospect are on the other set.

While one team of djs is playing the other team could drop in samples, cut and scratch into the others playing track.

If the djs are skilled and know how to do it right, can be really entertaining.

We could all go to the Ravers Reunited Bonkers event - probably the nearest we'll get.

Some surprises on the line up.

Wasn't that the dominating scene because those who had a say simply let it be?

If peeps come to recall, I personally went to blows with Breeze over some things with HP album. Which was in parallel with HP album. What happened?

A couple of blokes (inc Hutchy?? **** knows who that tosser is?) telling me on msn that Breeze has some beef with me, that hes had a meltdown posting abuse about me over his page and then they stirred the pot even more ("sparkz" has said xyz)

As I recall, I then told Mark Breeze what a complete load of dogshit he is, was blocked and all his comments against me and the HP album were removed.

Let me say this, I saw the asslicker comments when Breeze posted slander posts towards the HP album and those termites, especially the few who then became all 2 faced asking for pellas and work with me, are on the avoid list.
