So whyyyyyyyy....did they even produce mp3 players? No matter how you look at it, take the ipod for example, you HAVE to copy music onto it. You can't buy it from the ipod, you have to buy it at itunes and then put it on the ipod! Stoopid if you ask me. If they had a mass copyright fraud investigation, apart from aged approx 55-60 upwards, most of the world that owns a computer will have broken the law :o

Apple doesn't give you the software to pull music off of the iPod, once it's on there you can't take it back off and put it on your computer; legally anyway. Software exists that you can, but they don't give you the software to do it at all.
And there's other downloading sites that are legal besides iTune's ;\

personally, i think the 50 years thing is a little steep, but i guess its to give the original artist time to kick the bucket so they cant just complain when everybody starts throwing thier music round for free
actually if i remember 1 of my classes correctly international laws on copyright state that it is a minimum 50yrs that it goes into public domain for any and every country. i think the US has increased it to 75 and was in the process of extending it further.
