tbh that's the thing I never understood, Armin van Buuren doesn't go and shout TRANCE 4 LYFE, how TRANCE are you, FEEL THE TRANCE, are you TRANCE ENOUGH TO take this, get ready for the TRANCE blabla
do they realize how stupid and ridiculous they sound? 
Hardcore MC's saying the word "Hardcore" all the time isn't better than some shitty hip-hop with mother****er 20 times in half a minute

i'm just thinking out loud here, but maybe because hardcore sounds better than trance as an adjective?

hardcore has a few different meanings as well, trance means exactly the opposite of how crowds at a rave are feeling.
hardcore is used as a foundation in the building industry.

Some trance events are actual "raves". They go crazy to 140 bpm music you know? :P
Just like you can go crazy to oldskool (grandfather of hardcore if im not mistaken) which was originally like 140 bpm, you can go crazy to trance. We're just used to the 170 bpm abnormal speed ;)

Well I think Trance can even go up to 190 BPM (Goa & Psy), it's basically some sort of non-distorted Frenchcore!

Hmm I'd rather say because they love Hardcore more than Trance ravers love Trance!
(Edit: I mean real Trance now, not the commercial eurodance kids crap labelled as "Trance" on Youtube like Basshunter, Splash, or stuff like that...they all go insane to 'Trance', even some Hardcore songs are called 'Trance' haha)

I disagree, I think hardcore has its own way of life. It includes:
- No dress rules at parties. How many hardcore night ask for a dress code? None over here, that's for sure (maybe it's different in the UK?)
- Essentially, for me at least, pacifism (or maybe I'm just a pussy?)
- Live fast! (over 160 bpm)
