Attended it last night. I mainly went for Dj Kurt and Liquid bRag but there were other DJs there playing awesome tunes as well as loads of cheese. Candy kids EVERYWHERE but the vibes were amazing. I'm pretty sure I was the only one sober because I was getting asked left and right if I knew where to get E. Oher then that I danced my ass off, took pictures with people and had loads of fun. I can't wait to go to another one. I didn't get any candy but I got loads of hugs. lul
Favorite thing about the night: Kurt ending his set with gabber.

hardcore parties outside of the UK usually arent, none of the ones i've ever been to anyway. candyball looks huge, but everything i've ever been to in canada has typically been in a pretty run down venue because, lets face it, what lavish club wants to host a party and potentially damage their reputation with a bunch of etards?
glitter is the herpes of the rave world.

Raves have no place in lavish clubs in my opinion. I wish our raves were like yours.

Definitely!
Did you go to History of Hardcore? Not the one just gone, but last January's? (2009). It was at a club called Jack's. It was grimey! Concrete floors, freezing cold, toilets flooded with three inches of piss. GREAT STUFF.

The UK Rave scene isn't at it's best these days sadly. Our line ups include the 'top guns' (Hixxy, Styles, Breeze, Sy, Unknown, Squad E ect) and a few locals who all play the same thing except for one person who makes the effort to stand out.
Back in the late 80s- mid 90s we had one of the best rave scenes in the world where only The Dutch tried to out do us lol

Nah i didn't. It actually occured to me recently that i've not been to a rave since last August, and i thought 'wow that can't be right'. The time has passed shockingly quick.

Mate, I'm the same. I'm so disappointed in myself. The last one I went to was admittedly November, but before that it was May, or maybe even April.
There is one on April 10th, at Club Life in Vauxhall that looks pretty decent. However, I'm running the marathomn on the 18th, so that might not be the greatest preparation. Mmm.
Where abouts are you? I was just assuming that you were London there!
